How the questions are made
We take the official texts that nurse aides work under — the federal requirements for nursing homes and for nurse aide training and registries (42 CFR Part 483, from the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations), the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030) and CDC infection prevention guidance for healthcare personnel — split them into short excerpts and write multiple-choice questions about the rules in each excerpt. A question is published only if (1) its supporting quote appears word for word in the source, (2) numbers in the answer appear in the quote, and (3) two independent checks with the options shuffled agree that the quote proves the answer and that no other option is also correct. Rules that only facility managers apply are left out.
The list of CNA classes comes from the official lists of state-approved nurse aide training programs published by state agencies. We do not rate programs.
This is a free study aid. It is not the official exam, the questions are not taken from any real exam, and nothing here is medical or legal advice. Your state's rules and its candidate handbook come first.
